The Alameda Aero Club is a small, all volunteer, non-profit flying club dedicated to promoting general aviation and providing our members with well-maintained, inexpensive airplanes. We are based at the North Field of Oakland International Airport, across the Bay from San Francisco in Northern California. We have 6 aircraft — a Piper Warrior, a Piper Arrow and four Cessna 172s– that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for club members (via our web-based reservation system). We also have an experienced group of full-time and part-time FAA-certificated instructors offering instruction — so come and learn to fly (or get that instrument rating/commercial/CFI) with us! Our introductory flight is only $99!
You will not find a friendlier or more accessible club in our area. (However, please keep in mind that this is an all-volunteer club, and we really welcome members who can assist in club activities from time-to-time.) If you are looking for a complete aviation club experience, you’ve come to the right place! Membership fees consist of a $250 initiation fee, a $250 deposit and monthly dues of $40.00.
A check for $540 is required with your membership application; alternatively you can pay by credit card when your account is established at FlightCircle.com.
Aircraft hourly rental rates are currently $145 for the Piper Arrow, $135 for the Piper Warrior, $140 for our flagship Cessna (N734BN) and $130 for the rest of the Cessnas per hour, tach/wet. Read more about the club and view our Membership Application Form. For more information, please contact the Membership Officer.
The Alameda Aero Club now offers gift certificates! Please contact our Chief Pilot to purchase.
Aircraft owners: the club is always looking for aircraft for leaseback to the club. Our leaseback deal is very attractive, and you remain in complete control! Email our club president or chief pilot for details. View Leaseback Agreement (PDF).
