The ALAMEDA AERO CLUB
P.O. Box 1043, Alameda, CA 94501
The club is located in a hangar at the “Old T’s” in Oakland Airport’s North Field; the official location is “Hangar – L905”, but since that’s not going to help anyone who doesn’t already know where the club is, the map below should give you some idea of how to get to the parking lot, 980 Harbor Bay Parkway (just past the College of Alameda sign).
Since we are located inside the airport’s security fence, a badged member will have to let you through the gate and escort you while on the field. This is best coordinated before your visit.
From the south: Take I-880 N to the Hegenburger exit. Turn right on Doolittle and continue to Harbor Bay Parkway. Turn left onto Harbor Bay Parkway. Enter at the driveway marked with the sign that says 980 Harbor Bay Parkway and park in the parking lot.
Alternate route from the south: Take I-880 N to the 98th Avenue exit towards the Oakland Airport. Turn left at 98th Avenue; continue onto Airport Drive, staying in the right lane. Turn right on to ramp to Ron Cowan Parkway; continue past the tower and VOR to Harbor Bay Parkway. Turn right at Harbor Bay Parkway and turn right at 980 Harbor Bay Parkway into the parking lot.
From the north: Take I-880 S to the High Street Alameda exit. Go over the High Street Bridge and take the first immediate left onto Fernside Drive. Continue to Otis Drive. Turn left on Otis and go over the Bay Farm Island Bridge, bearing left. This becomes Doolittle. Turn right at Harbor Bay Parkway. You will pass a soccer field on the corner and the College of Alameda building’s on your left. Take a left into the parking lot at the sign marked 980 Harbor Bay Parkway.
If you’re taking public transportation: Take BART to Fruitvale and bike or taxi to club OR
The BART to the Coliseum station , then either take a taxi or take the AC Transit 21 bus to the northeast corner of Maitland and Fitchberg. It’s about 1.5 miles to the club.
