I’m happy to announce, Covid-19 be damned, that Mike Herbert has passed his private pilot check ride on June 19, 2020.

During the oral examination Rich Conté quickly concluded Mike simply knows his stuff. After an uneventful departure and climb out Mike was diverted to KEDU. “Coincidentally” the diversion took place right when the GPS in 05D failed. After some pattern work and air work Rich had seen enough and they returned to KMCC. Where, after landing, Mike was awarded his private pilot license.
